Franklin J. Brummett

Franklin J. Brummett brings to the Freeman Firm over 40 years of experience. He recently relocated to Northern California after practicing law in Southern California for the majority of his legal career. He now contributes his knowledge and skill to the Freeman Firm. Having taught paralegal programs, he is a great resource for our legal professionals. His high standards are an inspiration to all the members of our firm.

Mr. Brummett's practice areas are far-reaching. His civil litigation experience includes aviation accidents, high-stakes business disputes, and asbestos claims. He also serves our clients as an appellate advocate; counsels clients on business entity formation and organization, financing, and acquisitions; provides representation for parties involved in personal injury and medical malpractice litigation; and has vast experience in real estate and commercial transactions, having published and taught on the topic of real estate.  

Mr. Brummett attended the University of Southern California School of Law where he graduated Order of the Coif in 1963. At USC, Mr. Brummett served on the Law Review Editorial Board. Mr. Brummett earned his Bachelor's of Science at the University of Portland in 1956.

Mr. Brummett is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court and the United States District Court, Southern District of California. He is a member of the State Bar of California, the Litigation Section, and the San Joaquin County Bar Association. He has been an instructor at the Long Beach Trial Advocacy Institute for the Los Angeles County Superior Court and an Adjunct Associate Professor for the Paralegal Programs at California State University, Long Beach and Cerritos College.
