John W. Viss, III’s experience in the unique practice area of oil and gas negotiation and litigation contributes to the firm's varied areas of expertise. Mr. Viss also serves the Freeman Firm’s clients in such areas as civil litigation; personal injury and medical malpractice; eminent domain/ condemnation; and business disputes.
In 1989, Mr. Viss earned his juris doctorate at Hastings College of Law in San Francisco. Mr. Viss was a Student Extern at the California Supreme Court for Justice John Arguelles. He completed his undergraduate studies at Fresno State in Fresno, California, obtaining his bachelor's degree in business administration.
Mr. Viss is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeal, Ninth Circuit and the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. He is a member of the State Bar of California.
